Ensuring all goods are picked and packed according to the SOPs and KPI's achieved and to ensure the warehouse is properly maintained and to ensure warehouse safety.
POSITION PROFILE:
(Basic Purpose of Position)The main requirements of this role is to ensure all goods are picked and packed according to the SOPs and KPI's achieved and to ensure the warehouse is properly maintained and to ensure warehouse safety.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)Adhere to the Health & Safety procedures at all timesEnsure all material transactions are executed timely and in accordance to company KPIsGoods receiving, goods delivery, regular counting, operating conveyor belt, picking, packing, sortation system and inventory check completed in accordance to Distribution Centre's SOPsAbide by ADR regulations when handling dangerous goodsMaintain warehouses and working area in a clean and orderly fashion at all timesAccurately input the data of goods transactions into SAP systemEnsure that PPE is worn at all times while on siteAdhere to manual handling training when moving, picking and packing items in the Distribution CentreIn conjunction with Department Manager set own goals and takes ownership of same as per VWR PMP processPerforms other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)Minimum Leaving Certificate - or similarForklift license, Haz Chem and Manual Handling training requiredStrong IT literacyKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)IT Literate - Knowledge of Excel desirableFully versed in use and application of VWR internal IS systems, e.

The physical requirements of the job are for associates to talk, hear, bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb height, reach above shoulder height, crouch, kneel, balance, and push/pull.
Furthermore, the job requires associates to lift/carry/push or pull up to 34.

Associates use both hands for repetitive actions such as grasping and manipulating as well as both feet for repetitive movement operating foots controls.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
